This post is for Wendy….we were discussing dogs and water. This is Chachi’s first and only experience with water. We tried to pull him in but he refused so then Ryan picked him up and dropped him in the lake….he was not impressed. We couldn’t get him back in the water after that….traumatized puppy!
I want to take a quick moment to thank Elaine for all her hard work. After going through all of the 25 things, I can see a great deal of work went in to making this for us…thanks so much Elaine! It was great fun. I didn’t need anything else to help waste time but you found me a few new addictions! 
WOW! It’s been a great a journey and I must say that I have learnt a lot more than I thought I would. Some of the features are ones that I have already used in my everyday life and I know I will continue to use them. But, I also took in a great deal of inormation that I didnt know about. i will definitely be keeping my Flickr account. To be honest, I am a web 2.0 junky so i am sure that I will use almost all of the stuff that we have learnt at least once in a while.
At first I found the format of this a bit confusing, it felt like there were directions here there and everywhere but once you get into the rhythm it was fairly straightforward.
I can only imagine all the hardwork that went into making this so thanks for the effort. I may or may not participate in the future…it would depend on the content.
I have used NetLibrary before in my everyday work life but I have never actually downloaded one myself to listen to. The process is very straightforward once you have an account set up. I was impressed with the number of teen titles we had in the collection and I think I might start trying these out more regularly. I am also going to suggest some of these to my teens seeing as they walk around with headphones in their ears all day long anyway.
This was really neat. I had heard of podcasts before but I did not know what they were exactly. I searched specifically for teen ones and there are quite a few out there created by teens in the library. Podcasts are another great way to advertise the library as well as keep up with what is going on with other libraries around the country.
I found it interesting to learn how podcasts started not to mention what PODcasts means…personal on demand. It is also pretty cool that you can subscribe to podcasts just as you do with other sites and they are delivered right to you. I really like teh idea of putting podcasts up as booktalks to teens by teens. I can also see how we could highlight the picture book collection by selecting a few to be read on podcasts…fun!!
